    Adam and Steve
    by: Ed Norseman
    Tell me the story ‘bout Adam and Steve;
    yeah show me in the Word ‘cuz I’m really naive;
    and if you just tell me then I might believe
    that there really was a couple called Adam and Steve.

    Cut to the chase and get down to the biz;
    my 2nd cousin Harry is a bible wiz;
    and he says “Man…bein’ gay ain’t sin”
    So crack a Bible open and let’s begin.

    First we’ll visit a town called Sodom;
    through lust and debauchery it hit rock bottom
    Some people study it and say they weren’t gay;
    But just look who’s called “sodomites” today.

    Then we can look at the Levitical Law;
    like the ones that Hebrew line of the Priests had saw.
    “Don’t lay with a man like you lay with a wife”;
    you could be a’heedin’ this and savin’ yer life.

    Homosexuality described by Paul
    in Romans Chapter 1 should explain it all.
    It’d be sad for you to wake up in hell
    ‘cuz you couldn’t please your God and your loins as well.

    Consider all the wisdom in the Holy Writ;
    a simple Truth remains and you can’t deny it:
    It’s not even a matter of interpretation;
    just a plain old sin called “fornication”.

    Union of a man to his one and only wife
    is blessed by God and it produces life.
    Union that’s estranged and produces no kin
    is not of Faith and it produces sin.

    Next time I see my 2nd cousin Harry,
    I’m thinkin’ he’ll hear somethin’ really scary
    A passage ‘bout a millstone tied around his neck.
    You’ll excuse me now while I remove my own speck.

    ………….

      Well said, brother!! The Bible really is so, so clear. Why do so many refuse to exercise basic intellectual honesty? Here we have cases where the Bible cuts to the chase and doesn’t mince words. Keep singing!!
